                        Voting Rights and Capital Update


In conformity with the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules DTR 5.6.1R we
would like to notify the market that as at 31 December 2007 the Company's issued
share capital consists of 36,133,558 Ordinary 12.5 pence shares with voting
rights.

The Company holds no Treasury shares. This figure may be used by shareholders as
the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, The
Alumasc Group plc.
