Ice road access completion
Amur Minerals Corporation (AMC.AIM),an exploration and development company focused on Far East Russia is pleased to announce the completion of the construction of a 300 kilometre long ice road to its Kun-Manie nickel deposit.
This allows the Company to restock the project with essential supplies and materials for the upcoming year. The transport fleet is presently completing runs between the site and the Company's base camp located at the Baikal - Amur rail station, Gorni. The ice road will be utilised over the course of the next month until the spring thaw when the road will become impassable. During the operational season Kun-Manie will be supported by helicopter.
Robin Young, Amur's Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"The completion of the ice road is the first step in our annual programme. It allows us to support the Kun-Manie operation and to continue with the development of the project, pending receipt of the mining licence."
