Contract Award
ANGLE is pleased to announce that it has won a contract with the Carbon Trust to
provide commercial expertise to businesses that demonstrate cost-effective,
carbon-reducing solutions.
This contract is a continuation of the successful activity undertaken by ANGLE
for the Carbon Trust over the last two years. During this time ANGLE has worked
with 14 early-stage businesses under the programme delivering business planning
advice and development support. The Carbon Trust pays ANGLE up to £65,000 per
company to provide them with business advice.
CT-ANGLE Incubator companies have enjoyed considerable success to date raising
over £25 million investment whilst in the incubator, including two companies,
CMR Fuel Cells and Oxford Catalysts that have listed on AIM.
It is the intention of both ANGLE and the Carbon Trust to build on the success
of the Incubator programme, delivering greater support to a greater number of
companies. The new contract is for two years with the facility to extend it for
a further year. The Carbon Trust plans considerable marketing activities to
attract a greater number of companies, whilst ANGLE intends to uses its growing
partnership network, such as the recently announced intellectual property
framework with the University of Reading, to source further suitable companies.
