Angle PLC 28 November 2006 For Immediate Release 28 November 2006 ANGLE PLC VENTURES UPDATE ANGLE plc, the venture management and consulting company specialising in the commercialisation of technology, is holding a Showcase of its IP and Development Pipeline at the University of Reading today and will be updating the market on progress. The purpose of the visit is to provide the audience with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of ANGLE's 20 year strategic partnership with the University of Reading ('University') as announced on 27 July 2006. Professor Carl Stychin, Pro Vice Chancellor of Enterprise, will provide background on the University of Reading's research activities as a top 200 world university and a top 20 UK research-led university with £162 million income in 2006/07, 17,500 students and 4,000 staff. Two specific areas of research, which are receiving close attention from ANGLE, will be showcased. Dr James Anderson of the Department of Computer Science will discuss his Transreal arithmetic and its applications in computing and Professor Edman Tsang of the Department of Chemistry will present on his portfolio of research in nanomaterials, with a broad range of potential applications from catalysis to data storage. ANGLE will also be presenting progress in two of its existing portfolio companies, Geomerics and Synature. Geomerics, which has created market-leading graphics software for the games industry, will announce the launch of its enhanced radiosity product, bringing movie quality lighting to real time computer games. Geomerics has already generated strong interest in its radiosity product from computer games developers. Geomerics now has forged links with many of the key industry participants, and will be announcing that it has been selected to join Microsoft Xbox 360 Tools Program. Participation in these key industry programmes is a major step towards the integration of Geomerics' technology in the hardware platforms of the future. Synature, which is developing next generation internet target marketing and social networking software, will announce the launch of its product with two early stage customers, a leading portal for marketers and a social networking site, which are using the product to promote interaction between its users, creating stickiness to the site and thereby increasing advertising revenues. Finally, ANGLE will be announcing that it is in advanced negotiations for a strategic partnership with another University and expects to be able to announce further progress in the New Year.
