Drilling Report Drill Hole AMC 17 - Preliminary...

Anglesey Mining plc reports that hole AMC 17, the third hole in the 2005 drilling programme at the Parys Mountain property in Anglesey, Wales, has intersected 20 metres of mineralisation at the Engine zone at a depth of 485 metres. This zone includes an interval of 14.7 metres with an average grade of over 10.3% combined copper, zinc and lead including one high grade section of 5.5 metres which assayed over 22% combined metal. "The substantial 20 metre width of the mineralisation, and the assay grades in the Engine zone, makes the results from AMC 17 very significant in relation to the Parys Mountain Project" said John Kearney, Anglesey's chairman. Hole AMC 17 was collared approximately 400 metres west of hole AMC 15 which, as previously reported, encountered similar mineralisation at the Engine zone and which intersected a narrower but higher grade intersection of 2.5 metres averaging over 40% combined metal, and approximately 600 metres east of the Morris Shaft, the location of the company's published resources in the Engine zone. The assay results for AMC 17 are preliminary and are for the Engine zone only. The hole intersected three other relatively narrow zones of mineralisation and further assay results, including all gold assays , are awaited. Full details of all intersections will be announced when final assays are received and interpreted.
