Anglo American plc announces disposal of certain UK assets following the
acquisition of Tarmac plc
Anglo American plc is pleased to announce that it has substantially completed
the disposal of certain assets in the UK pursuant to its undertakings to the
Secretary of State for Trade & Industry in respect of its recent acquisition
of Tarmac plc. The majority of the assets were sold to Hanson plc for £32.9
million and Aggregate Industries plc for £29 million.
Total consideration is expected to be around £75 million.
