ANGLO AMERICAN TO SELL PARTICIPATION IN SALOBO PROJECT TO CVRD
Anglo American plc ("Anglo American") announces that it has entered into an
agreement with Companhia Vale do Rio Doce ("CVRD") to sell its 50% interest in
the Salobo Metais S.A. copper deposit in Brazil for US$50.9 million. The
transaction is subject to completion of customary closing conditions.
