Notice of Annual Results and Webcast

Anglo American will be announcing annual results for the year ended 31 December
2005, on Wednesday 22 February 2006. A presentation of results by Tony Trahar,
CEO of Anglo American and Rene Medori, Finance Director, will be held in London
at 10.00am GMT.

The presentation will be webcast and can be accessed from the Anglo American
website at www.angloamerican.co.uk. A replay of the webcast will be available
later that day.
