                            GEDABEK DRILLING UPDATE



Anglo Asian Mining PLC (AIM: AAZ), the gold and copper development company with
projects in Azerbaijan, today issues the following update on its Gedabek
drilling programme:



The Company is progressing towards the completion of a scoping study on its
Gedabek gold, copper and silver project in north-west Azerbaijan and a resource
estimate is being prepared for release at the end of November. Since the last
press release on 24 August, 2006 the Company has received the results from a
further 74 drill-holes which have been drilled primarily to delineate a resource
compliant with JORC guidelines at Gedabek.



The latest results confirm the continuity of mineralisation and consistency in
grade previously reported. Furthermore, similar style mineralisation has been
intersected some 400 metres north of the main deposit, highlighting the
potential to expand the resource in the future.



Detailed in the table below are the best intercepts encountered from the latest
drilling. A cut-off of 0.3 g/t Au was used to define the intercepts.

Holes were drilled using both reverse circulation drills (RC) and diamond drills
(Core) or a combination of RC at the top of the hole and Core at the bottom.

the recent visit to site by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev, are
