GRANT OF SHARE OPTIONS

The board of Anglo-Eastern Plantations plc has approved the grant of options
over 210,000 ordinary shares to employees and directors at 38p, exercisable
between 16 October 2003 and 15 October 2010. This brings to 712,000 the total
number of shares over which options are held. Within the above grant the
