APPOINTMENT OF ARBUTHNOT LATHAM CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC is pleased to announce the appointment as of today of Dean 

Michael Proctor as Chief Executive of Arbuthnot Latham & Co. Limited, the Group's private banking division. Dean also joins the Board of Arbuthnot Banking Group. 

Dean, aged 38 was appointed to the Board of Arbuthnot Latham in July 2009 as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Private Banking. Before joining Arbuthnot Latham he was at Citibank for 3 years and most recently was Managing Director of Wealth Management and Retail Banking.  Dean was also a Director of Egg Banking PLC (August 2008 to July 2009).  Prior to Citibank Dean worked at Lloyds Bank for 13 years.  

Dean takes over from Mike Bussey, who leaves his position and the Board of the Group for personal reasons. Having continued the development of Arbuthnot Latham in a challenging environment, we are pleased that Mike will remain at the private bank as a Vice Chairman assisting with a number of initiatives with which he has been closely involved.
