                            Appointment of Chairman

Knowledge Technology Solutions PLC (KTS), the real-time data technology company,
is pleased to announce the appointment of Gavin Casey as Non-Executive Chairman
with immediate effect.

Gavin Casey was Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange from 1996 to 2000
where he introduced a wide-ranging programme of modernisation and profit
improvement. During his tenure, the LSE developed from a loss-making mutual
organisation into a successful international commercial enterprise generating
substantial profits.

Previously, Gavin Casey was Group Finance Director/Chief Operating Officer of
international securities house Smith New Court from 1989 to 1996 when it was
sold to Merrill Lynch.

KTS Chief Executive, Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, said:

extensive experience in our industry is going to make a significant contribution
to our continued development.'

The directorships held by Gavin Frank Casey (aged 57) over the five years
preceding the date of appointment are as follows:

Current:      Tragus Holdings Ltd (chairman), Corporate Synergy Plc (chairman),
              Corporate Synergy Holdings Plc (chairman), Lawrence Plc 
              (non-executive director), Tellings Golden Miller Group plc 
              (non-executive director), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP 
              (deputy chairman of the corporate finance advisory board)

Previous:     London Stock Exchange Plc, Kinetic Information Systems Services
              Ltd, CITEX Group Ltd, Mosaic Software Holdings Ltd.

KTS has today granted Mr Casey 2,000,000 options over Ordinary Shares for nil
consideration, exercisable between the second and sixth anniversary of grant,
half of which can be exercised at 15p and half at 25p. Following this
notification, Gavin Casey will hold 2,000,000 options over Ordinary Shares.

As at the date of this announcement, Gavin Casey has no beneficial holding 
in the capital of KTS.

There are no other matters which are required to be announced as required 
under paragraph (f) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.
