KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS PLC
LAUNCH OF ONLINE MARKET INTELLIGENCE SERVICE
Knowledge Technology Solutions PLC ('KTS'), the developer of proprietary
software that aggregates and processes data, will shortly be launching a new
web monitoring service called Company Sentinel Service.
The majority of national and regional newspapers, magazines, radio and
television broadcast entities now have a presence on the Internet as this
provides an efficient medium to distribute continuously updating news. Powered
by proprietary aggregation technology developed by subsidiary Cognita
Technologies Limited, companies will be able to accurately track what is
appearing on these media websites through the new Company Sentinel service.
Subscribers will receive reports made available via daily e-mail or website
delivery in a clear, concise and ordered manner.
The Company Sentinel service, which will go live on 19 February, will be made
available as a subscription-based service to organisations that need to know
what relevant information is being communicated in the public domain.
Typically organisations, such as quoted companies or agents acting on their
behalf, subscribe to press monitoring services.
Benefits to subscribers include:
* Tracking and reporting on relevant online print publications and wire
services
* Monitoring of bulletin boards, discussion forums, newsgroups and
electronic mailing lists
(original content not appearing in print)
* Scanning of TV and radio news sites
* Keeping pace with what consumers and professionals are reading about
services, products, industry and competitors
* Monitoring the results of PR efforts
A 'lite' version of the software will also be made available to investors on
the Sharepages website (www.sharepages.com) and will give weight to their
future investment decisions by enabling them to immediately gauge current
perceptions and beliefs.
Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, CEO, commented:
'The growth of the Internet has highlighted major concerns over security and
safeguarding against damaging and unwanted assaults in what is an uncontrolled
space. The lack of the ability to monitor public reputation, rumours, stock
manipulation and insider trading via the Internet has already caught a number
of organisations short.
We believe the new Company Sentinel service will lead the way in making
companies understand the vital need to monitor the Internet. This will be the
most comprehensive, trusted and affordable way to keep up with what is being
said online.'
