Pursuant to the above-named Company's Employee Share Incentive
Scheme options over 12,797 Ordinary Shares of 5 cents each
have been exercised. Accordingly, application has been made to
the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to
the Official List.

With regard to an announcement released 18th June, 1999
regarding the acquisition of a further 15% of Avgold Limited
through the issue of 6,147,908 Ordinary shares of 5 cents.
Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for
these shares to be admitted to the Official List.
