CAPITALISATION SHARE AWARD AND RIGHT OF ELECTION TO RECEIVE A CASH DIVIDEND OF
70 CENTS PER SHARE IN RESPECT OF THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 1999 -
LAST DAY TO REGISTER

Further to the announcement, dated Friday, 27 August 1999, of the directors'
intention to award capitalisation shares in the Company with the option to
instead elect to receive a cash dividend of 70 cents per share, holders of
ordinary shares in the Company are hereby notified that the capitalisation
share award will be extended to such shareholders registered in the books of
the Company at the close of business on Friday, 12 November 1999.

The distribution of the dividend is conditional upon the passing and
registration of certain special resolutions and the passing of an ordinary
resolution as set out in the notice of the Company's annual general meeting to
be held on Thursday, 4 November 1999.

A further announcement detailing the terms of the capitalisation share award
will be made on Friday, 5 November 1999.
