ARC International plc
AGM Statement
At the Annual General Meeting of ARC International plc, the world leader in
configurable subsystems and CPU/DSP processors, to be held at 9.30am this
morning, newly appointed Chairman Richard Barfield will make the following
statement:
"ARC International plc is pleased to confirm that trading in the first three
months of 2007 is in line with the Board's expectations.
"Yesterday we announced the acquisition of the business and assets of Teja
Technologies. This transaction will extend ARC's technical leadership and
advance the development of platforms for ARC's next-generation solutions,
particularly ARC's market-leading VRaptor Multicore Architecture, with a
potential cost impact of up to $2 million (USD) on ARC's financial year 2007
operations. This morning we are delighted to announce that one of the largest
consumer electronics companies in the world has taken a multiyear license valued
at $15 million (USD) for ARC's patented configurable processors, our biggest
deal yet.
"The Board looks forward to a satisfactory outcome for the year as a whole.
These significant transactions strengthen our prospects for continued
improvement in future years."
