26th July, 2010
Connemara Mining Company Plc ('the Company')
AGM statement
At the Annual General Meeting to be held at 2pm today, John Teeling, Chairman of the Company, will make the following statement to shareholders:
· |
This is a good time for Connemara. We have a zinc discovery, new drilling, good ground and funding. The zinc discovery at Stonepark continues to grow in size and significance. With our partner, Teck Ireland, we are considering adding a number of additional drilling rigs to the two already working there. |
· |
Particular attention is directed towards the good results being obtained about 500 metres to the southwest of the Stonepark zone. This is either an extension or a new high grade zone. |
· |
Plans are in train to drill 15 holes on the Newcastle West block of licences further to the southwest of Stonepark. |
· |
Drill targets are identified on our licence blocks close to the Lisheen zinc mine in Tipperary recently acquired by Vedanta of India. |
· |
A recent placing has the company funded for all planned expenditure to end 2011. |
