Connemara Mining Company plc ('the Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Reid as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Graham Reid is a geologist with over 30 years experience including extensive international experience in mineral exploration and site investigation fields. Graham is a founder of B.R.G. (Geotechnics) Ltd, a junior exploration company, to whom the Company has contracted its selection of prospecting licences and its field exploration.

Commenting John Teeling, Chairman, stated:

"I am pleased to welcome Graham to the Board and look forward to continuing to work closely with him as we have done on a consultancy basis since 2004".

The following information is disclosed in relation to Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules:

Graham Reid (aged 52) holds an interest in 250,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 1.6 per cent. of its issued share capital, registered in the name of his wife Kate Overend.  In addition Mr Reid holds options over 50,000 ordinary shares with an exercise price of 15 pence and an option period of 7 years from 3 January 2007.

Graham Reid is a director of B.R.G. (Geotechnics) Ltd, a company registered in Ireland.

No further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to Schedule Two paragraph (g).
