Limerick Zinc Discovery Update

Connemara Mining Company Plc ("Connemara" or "the Company") (AIM CON) is pleased to provide an update on its exploration programme on the Stonepark area in Limerick.  The program is a joint venture between Connemara (25%) and Teck Ireland Ltd. ("Teck") (75%).  Three mineralized zones have been identified in the Stonepark area. These include Stonepark, Stonepark North & Stonepark West.

The latest results from Stonepark West in Limerick continue to expand the zinc/lead mineralized zone to the south and northeast.  This zone remains open in several directions.

Highlights

·     Hole 103 intersects 3.85m @ 5.35% Zinc (Zn) and 1.58% Lead (Pb) from 264.15m including 1.2m 12.41% Zn and 4.66% Pb from 264.15m

·     Hole 100 intersects 13m @ 0.14% Zn and 0.04% Pb from 276m

Chairman, John Teeling commented:

"The continued expansion of the Stonepark West discovery in Limerick highlights the extensive nature of the mineralizing system.  These results follow on from the Company's announcement of 20 December 2011 and further expand the targeted upper mineralized zone. The ongoing 2012 drilling programme will test the extent of the current zone as well as targeting new areas."

Operational Details

The latest results in Stonepark West from Hole 103 continue to expand the upper mineralized zone as seen in holes 99 (100m north - 7.2m 6.37%Zn/2.17%Pb) and 95 (200m north - 2.67m 10.88%Zn/4.03%Pb). These 3 drillholes are structurally separated from Holes 86, 89 & 91 to the west, where the principal mineralized zone is at a deeper level (average 380m).

The results from Hole 100, drilled 150m to the North East of Hole 95, shows that the mineralized zone extends in this direction, opening up the possibilities of expansion towards Stonepark North.
