Mine River Block Airborne Magnetics Survey

Connemara Mining Company plc ("Connemara" or "the Company") (AIM CON) and Hendrick Resources (Ireland) Ltd ("HRI") are pleased to announce that an Airborne Magnetic & Electromagnetic Survey has commenced over the 5 license blocks of Connemara Mine River licences held in the Wicklow/Wexford area of Ireland.  Connemara has a joint venture over these licences with HRI, a private Canadian company.  HRI will also survey its adjacent block of 11 licences.

The aim is to aid in the structural and geological interpretation of the region and to focus exploration efforts in the areas highlighted by this survey.  The principal element of the survey is to look for magnetic anomalies which can frequently be associated with gold mineralisation.

The airborne operator is Terraquest Geophysics - a highly experienced international geophysical company from Ontario Canada.

Chairman, John Teeling commented:

"Taking a fresh look at the gold potential in Wicklow/Wexford is long overdue.  Adding the results from this sophisticated technology and fresh processing to the extensive gold data base held by Connemara offers exciting new prospects in an area long known for gold."

Connemara is a diversified exploration company, with principal assets in base metal zinc/lead exploration licenses as well as shear hosted gold targeting licenses, in Ireland.  The company holds interests in 33 licenses covering an area of approximately 1,250 sq km.

This announcement has been reviewed and approved by the Company's technical director Graham Reid (P.Geo) in his capacity as the Qualified Person for the purposes of the AIM Guidance Note for Mining, Oil and Gas Companies issued by the London Stock Exchange.  Mr Reid is a Professional Member of The Institute of Geologists of Ireland (IGI) and The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and has over 30 years' experience in mineral exploration and site investigation fields.
