Appointment of non-executive Director
The Board of Directors of Artemis Alpha Trust plc (the 'Company') is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Dalrymple as a non-executive Director of
the Company with effect from 1 April 2004.
Mr Dalrymple, 44, is currently a Senior Portfolio Manager (Global Equities) with
First State Investments (UK) Limited and has managed the First State Global
Opportunities Fund since its inception in July 1999. Mr. Dalrymple joined
Stewart Ivory Limited as a portfolio manager in 1998 before its acquisition by
First State in 2000. Between 1991 and 1998 he was based in Hong Kong as a
director and dealing director with S.G. Warburg and UBS Warburg Limited. He was
also a director of James Capel (Far East) Limited during that period, having
served at Cazenove and Co in London for several years.
There are no other matters relating to this appointment to be disclosed in
accordance with Paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
