Appointment of independent non-executive Director

The Board of Directors of the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Duncan Budge as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 19 November 2013.

Mr Budge retired from his role as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of RIT Capital Partners plc in 2011, having been appointed in 1995. He is currently a non-executive director of Dunedin Enterprise Investment Trust plc and The World Trust Fund. He is also chairman of Spencer House Limited, which is a private company.

It is confirmed that there are no other details to be disclosed concerning Mr Budge under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
