Artemis Alpha Trust plc (the "Company")

Issue of Shares

The Company has today issued, conditional upon admission to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority, 35,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the capital of the Company (the "Shares") at a price of 130.69p in relation to an exercise of 35,000 manager warrants.

The Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing ordinary shares of 1p each and are expected to be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange on or around 12 October 2010.

Following this allotment the Company will have 29,991,203 shares in issue. This may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Artemis Alpha Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules. There are 6,533,982 manager warrants outstanding.
