This announcement replaces the earlier announcement released on 11 January 2012 at 17:26 (RNS No: 4157V). Due to an administrative error, that announcement incorrectly stated (i) that the shares bought back will only be re-issued at prices which are in excess of the diluted net asset value of the Company's shares immediately before such re-issue (at the annual general meeting held on 14 September 2011 shareholders authorised the re-issue of shares out of treasury at a discount to net asset value and (ii) the number of ordinary shares in issue.

Transaction in own shares
The Board of the Company announces that it has today made a market purchase of 35,000 Ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company, representing 0.07% of the current issued ordinary share capital. The shares were purchased at a price of 243.0 pence per Ordinary share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.
Following this purchase, the Company's issued share capital comprises 48,844,470 Ordinary shares, of which 185,000 are held in treasury, and 6,867,134 Subscription shares (which carry no voting rights). Therefore the total number of shares with voting rights in the Company will be 48,659,470 Ordinary shares.

The above figure (48,659,470) may be used by Ordinary shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
