Transaction in own shares

The Company has today made a market purchase of 275,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p, representing 0.84% of the issued share capital. The shares were bought at 200.454p per share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.  These shares will only be re-issued at prices which are in excess of the diluted net asset value of the Company's shares immediately before such re-issue.

Following this purchase, there are 32,343,488 ordinary shares in issue and 1,015,000 ordinary shares held in treasury.
