Transaction in own shares

On 16 July 2009, the Company made a market purchase of 25,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p, representing 0.08% of the issued share capital. The shares were bought at 178.00p per share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.  These shares will only be re-issued at prices which are in excess of the diluted net asset value of the Company's shares immediately before such re-issue.

Following this purchase, there are 30,379,988 ordinary shares in issue and 2,288,500 ordinary shares held in treasury.
