Transaction in own shares

Today, the Company made a market purchase of 70,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p, representing 0.23% of the issued share capital.  The shares were bought at 250.37p per share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.  These shares will only be re-issued at prices which are in excess of the diluted net asset value of the Company's shares immediately before such re-issue.

Following this purchase, there are 30,153,203 ordinary shares in issue and 2,618,000 ordinary shares held in treasury.
