Transaction in own shares

The Board of the Company announces that it has today made a market purchase of 85,000 Ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company, representing 0.18% of the current issued Ordinary share capital.  The shares were purchased at a price of 293.941 pence per Ordinary share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.  

Following this purchase, the Company's issued share capital comprises 48,535,988 Ordinary shares, of which 1,572,176 are held in treasury, and 6,865,616 Subscription shares (which carry no voting rights).  Therefore the total number of shares with voting rights in the Company will be 46,963,812 Ordinary shares.
