Transaction in own shares

The Board of the Company announces that it made a market purchase of 33,300 Ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the capital of the Company on 30 April 2014, representing 0.08% of the current issued Ordinary share capital. The shares were purchased at a price of 295.0 pence per Ordinary share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.

Following this purchase, the Company's issued share capital comprises 47,049,194 Ordinary shares, of which 3,842,409 are held in treasury, and 6,865,234 Subscription shares (which carry no voting rights). Therefore the total number of shares with voting rights in the Company will be 43,206,785 Ordinary shares.
