Ascot Plc has been advised on 2 January 2001 that M&G
Investment Management Limited has transferred its regulated
business to Prudential Portfolio Managers Limited ('PPM') with
effect from close of business on 31 December 2000. PPM has
then been renamed M&G Investment Management Limited on 2
January 2001.

Consequently all notifications will now be made by M&G
Investment Management on behalf of all companies within the
Prudential plc group of companies.

Prudential plc currently holds 2,599,160 ordinary shares in
the Company representing 3.41% of the issued ordinary share
capital.
