Ascent announces that it has issued and allotted 5,337,225 ordinary shares of
0.1p each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to an exercise of warrants. Application
has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the Ordinary Shares, which will
rank pari passu with existing shares in issue, to be admitted to trading on AIM,
and admission is expected to become effective on 7 August 2007.

The total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue following the
additional listing will be 297,782,975.
