                                    Issue of Equity


Ascent announces that it has issued and allotted 2,190,000 ordinary shares of
0.1p each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to an exercise of warrants, 1,500,000 at
an exercise price of 12p per share and 690,000 at an exercise price of 12.5p per
share.  Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the Ordinary
Shares, which will rank pari passu with existing shares in issue, to be admitted
to trading on AIM, and admission is expected to become effective on 4 January
2008.

The total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue following the
additional listing will be 304,782,042.
