Ascent Resources plc ('Ascent' or the 'Company')
Issue of Equity
Further to its announcement on 19 March 2007, the Company announces that
1,391,408 new ordinary shares of 0.01p each ('Ordinary Shares') have been issued
and allotted to the vendors of the 10% additional interest in the Frosinone
Exploration permit in the Latina Valley of Italy.
In addition, Ascent announces that it has issued and allotted 549,451 Ordinary
Shares at a price of 12 pence per share, pursuant to an exercise of warrants.
Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the Ordinary Shares,
which will rank pari passu with existing shares in issue, to be admitted to
trading on AIM, and admission is expected to become effective on 20 June 2007.
The total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue following the
additional listing will be 292,445,750.
