would like to notify the market of the following:



Ascent Resources plc's share capital consists of 264,824,686 ordinary shares
with voting rights. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Ascent
Resources plc is 264,824,686.



The above figure of 264,824,686 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Ascent Resources plc under
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
