Appointment of Non-Executive Directors

Ascential plc (LSE: ASCL.L), the specialist information, data and analytics company, today announces the appointment of Suzanne Baxter and Funke Ighodaro as independent Non-Executive Directors of the Company wit h immediate effect.

Suzanne has also been appointed as the Chair of the Audit Committee, succeeding Paul Harrison who will move to his new executive Chief Operating Officer role with effect from 11 January 2021.

Suzanne has substantial listed company experience and expertise gained in both executive and non-executive roles.  She has held a range of commercially focused financial and operational roles in the support services sector, including serving as CFO of Mitie Group plc, where she supported businesses through transformative acquisitive and organic growth.  Suzanne has served as the Audit Committee Chair of WH Smith plc since 2013 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  Suzanne also has a wealth of experience in workplace inclusion activities and is a Commissioner for Equality and Human Rights for Great Britain.

Funke Ighodaro has over 22 years of experience at executive board level and will serve as a member of the Audit Committee.  She has previously served as CFO of several listed companies on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and has extensive, multi-national experience and expertise in finance, strategy, M&A, and business and technology transformation. Funke is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Eng land and Wales and accredited as a Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
