Ascential plc ("the Company" / LSE: ASCL.L) has received notification of the following transaction by Duncan Painter,  the Chief Executive Officer.

As previously announced, on 26 July 2021 Duncan Painter granted security in favour of JP Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A. over 3,789,271 ordinary shares in the Company which he beneficially owns in connection with his participation in the 2021 equity raise.  On 10 August 2023, this security was released by JP Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A.  Duncan Painter's interests in ordinary shares did not change as a result of either the granting or release of security.
