Aseana Properties Limited
("Aseana" or the "Company")
Temporary suspension of listing
Aseana Properties Limited (LSE: ASPL LN), a property developer in both Malaysia and Vietnam which is listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, announces that it will not now be able to issue its Annual Report for the year ended 31 December 2020 by 30 June 2021 as originally intended. The finalisation of the Annual Report and completion of the audit have been delayed primarily due to the ongoing impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic which has led to renewed movement restrictions in Malaysia and Vietnam in recent months. These restrictions have continued to hamper the audit work undertaken in those jusrisdictions. However, it is presently anticipated by the Directors, having consulted with the Company's auditors, that the audited financial results should be published by 31 July 2021. This delay will mean that the Company's Shares will be suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange from 29 June 2020 until such time as the financial results are published.
Accordingly, the Board has requested that the Company's ordinary shares be temporarily suspended from the Official List and from trading on the London Stock Exchange with effect from 29 June 2021, pending publication of the audited accounts, following which the Company will request the suspension be lifted.
