                   NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

The following disclosures of material interests in shares under sections 198 -
220 of the Companies Act 1985 were made to Anite Group plc ('the Company') on 2
May 2006:

BritTel Fund Trustees Limited disclosed an interest, as at 28 April 2006, in
17,738,304 ordinary shares representing 5.051% of the Company's issued share
capital, held as follows:
