Result of EGM
Anite Group plc ('Anite' or 'the Group'), the worldwide IT solutions and
services company, announces that at an Extraordinary General Meeting held
earlier today, the resolution to approve the proposed disposal of Anite's
Paris-based IT consultancy, Datavance, was duly passed by shareholders.
Completion of the disposal, which is in line with Anite's stated strategy of
focusing on its core markets of Public Sector, Travel and Telecoms, is expected
in the next few days. The total cash consideration of €19.0 million (circa £13.1
million) is payable in full at completion.
Commenting at the EGM, Steve Rowley, Anite's Chief Executive, stated:
'This sale is a further important step in our programme of disposals of
non-core, peripheral businesses, to better focus on growth opportunities in our
core markets.'
