12.55 pm, under RNS number 1325K. The purchase price should have read 99p and
not 0.00p. A further sentence clarifying Mr Robson's total shareholding in the
Company has been added in this release.

Ashtead Group plc announces that Ian Robson has today purchased 30,000 Ordinary
shares in the Company (0.009% of the issued share capital) at a price of 99p per
share.  Following this purchase Mr Robson holds a total of 194,644 Ordinary
shares representing 0.06% of the issued share capital.
