STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

EDINBURGH DRAGON TRUST PLC

The board of Edinburgh Dragon Trust are pleased to announce the issue of 510
ordinary shares at a price of 60 pence per share on 6 February 2002. The shares
were allotted following the exercise of 510 warrants (to subscribe for ordinary
shares) on 31 January 2002.

The listing of the shares on the London Stock Exchange was approved on 11
February 2002 and the shares commenced trading on 12 February 2002.

As a result of the issue, there are now 226,628,835 ordinary shares in issue.
