Security Division, SDS Group
assist in comprehensive global strategy to assess
and improve luxury hotel security
Pentagon Protection Plc (AIM: PPR), through it's security division, SDS Group Limited, leaders in high risk security consulting, training and the supply of a comprehensive range of security equipment and products, announces its association with growth partnership company Frost & Sullivan in the introduction of a new joint global initiative and the publication of a white paper entitled 'Improving Hotel Security in Today's Unpredictable Global Environment.'
Working on a comprehensive strategy to assess and rate hotel security provisions on a global basis, SDS Group in association with Frost & Sullivan will be working with hotel groups on a confidential basis to benchmark security excellence and will carry out a comprehensive survey of the status and standard of security measures in place in luxury hotels around the world.
The list of locations throughout the world having experienced terrorist attacks on luxury hotels is growing with each of these events highlighting the urgent need for major security improvements.
Dr John Wyatt MBE, Technical Director of SDS Group commented:
'Our 20 years of experience in carrying out risk assessment surveys in global hot spots gives us the skills needed to assist the luxury hotel sector now that it has become a prime target for organised international terrorism.'
We will also be providing training courses for hotel security managers and other hospitality personnel, utilising highly seasoned instructors with hands-on experience in securing hotels and other high-value soft targets on a global basis.'
Haytham ElZayn, Chairman of Pentagon Protection Plc also commented:
'We are extremely proud of this prestigious global partnership between SDS and Frost & Sullivan, both recognised for their particular areas of expertise in assessing and countering global terrorism for the benefit, and peace-of-mind most especially of 'at risk' clientele, but also for the hoteliers, travel agents and insurers.'
Long-term plans include Frost & Sullivan extending its well-established Best Practices Awards process into the hospitality security sector by initiating a Security Excellence Rating System to formally recognise hotels implementing 'best of breed' industry security practices that provide the highest levels of protection possible in an uncertain world.'
The training courses will be held at major international venues from August 2009 onwards with the first taking place in London on 17-19 August.
