Blue chips trial product

Pentagon Protection PLC 15 October 2007 For immediate release 15 October 2007 Pentagon Protection Plc ('Pentagon') New product trialled by blue chip companies Pentagon Protection, the global specialist in the supply and installation of enhanced glass protection, is pleased to announce that its recently launched energy efficient membrane for glazing ('membrane') is being trialled by a major UK supermarket retailer and a high profile office building in London. In these independent tests the membrane has been shown to provide a 25% reduction in energy use and the subsequent cooling costs. The membrane reduces heat by deflecting solar infrared and with exceptional transparency allows maximum visible light transmission for a continued clear view in and out. The membrane maximises the performance of existing glazing, without costly disruption to business and without affecting the aesthetics of a building. The membrane was recently exhibited at the e(2) Energy Solutions Expo in London where it was received with great interest and from which the Company anticipates new business to be likely. Alan Nicholl, Pentagon's Chairman commented, 'With demand for a better environment and reduced energy consumption for a lighter carbon footprint, we were pleased when the request for these trials came through and are particularly happy with the results that prove there are considerable savings to be had from the introduction of our membrane, not only in terms of cost, but also energy consumption and CO2 emissions.'
