Update re potential offer and contract award
The Board of Pentagon Protection Plc (AIM: PPR), the global specialist in the supply and installation of enhanced glass protection, notes the announcement made yesterday that Westminster Group Plc has no current intention of making an offer for Pentagon.
Pentagon is pleased to announce an award to provide improved security and glass protection together with increased energy efficiency and savings, to a landmark building in the city of London with a value of more than £175,000.
Works include the removal of existing anti-shatter film and installation of the very latest in energy-saving high-tensile strength film with the combined benefits of increased
protection, energy savings and CO2 reduction, applied to external glazing from ground to ninth floor inclusive. In addition, the film will be anchored horizontally on two sides with the Pentagon Select™ bonded metal anchoring profile to provide even greater protection in the event of attack.
Stephen Harrhy, Sales Director of Pentagon Protection commented:
"Using the latest technology both in terms of anchoring and energy efficiency, our client, an international specialist insurance company, will benefit from 24/7 enhanced glazing
security without the expense and disruption of re-glazing and reduced energy use without affecting building aesthetics or the view."
Prior to award, Pentagon was able to provide building specific calculations to show the anticipated energy reduction and payback calculations."
Haytham ElZayn, Chairman of Pentagon Protection Plc also commented:
"With global governments steering towards greater energy efficiency solutions
and technologies, the window film industry has been actively developing new products and manufacturing processes to ensure greater energy efficiency and reduced greenhouse gas emissions without minimal loss of light. Accredited as an 'energy saving product', independent tests have proven a 25% reduction in air-cooling and energy use."
