Major contract award

Pentagon Protection Plc (AIM: PPR), the global specialist in the supply and installation of enhanced glass protection, announces the award to supply and install an energy efficient coating to high level glazing within a major shopping centre in the south of England. The value of this contract is over £205,000.

Stephen Harrhy, Sales Director of Pentagon Protection commented:

'With an overheating issue in the shopping mall areas creating not only hot spots, but also increased energy use, a solution was needed to meet all requirements of heat reduction and energy use with continued light transmission but without a mirrored or reflective look.

'We have been able to meet all of these requirements utilising the latest in window film technology with an energy efficient coating that will increase energy savings with high heat reduction, maximum visible light transmission and maximum solar rejection together with a non-reflective low tint to maintain original aesthetics and reduce 99% of damaging UV rays.'

Named as an energy efficient product by the Clinton Climate Initiative, the contract was awarded after undertaking preliminary calculations to illustrate the expected energy reduction and anticipated savings.
