Trading Update and Contract Gains
Pentagon Protection Plc ('Pentagon' or 'the Company'), provider of safety and
security products for commercial, architectural and automobile glass, announces
that its Pentagon Filmtek, buildings and flat glass division has achieved record
invoiced sales in the three months July to September 2005 in excess of £1m.
This has included contract gains in Europe, the UK and the Middle East for the
retro-fit installation of its FT800 glass containment film and anchoring
systems.
The largest of these contracts is for Ares Tower in Vienna, a twin-faced,
25-storey glass facade building, requiring enhanced protection for their bolted
glazing system as a safety precaution in the event of glass breakage. The total
contract value of the Ares Tower project is £500,000, of which £300,000 is
included in the current invoiced sales to September 2005. On schedule for
completion this month, Pentagon Filmtek has been approached to develop and
provide enhanced glazing safety for other significant projects in Austria.
Solar protection works have also been completed during this three month period
for Nestle UK Ltd at its Croydon-based UK head office to a value of £57,000 and
blast protection of glass containment and anchoring worth £30,000 for DHL
offices in Bahrain and Jordan, as part of a worldwide support carried out
worldwide for DHL by Pentagon Filmtek.
Other Middle Eastern projects include security upgrade works for Jumeirah
International's Emirates Tower, Jumeirah Beach and Burj Al Arab hotels in Dubai,
with a contract value of £250,000.
Commenting, Alan Nicholl, Group Managing Director, Pentagon Protection plc said:
'The level of interest being received for enhanced glazing protection is
worldwide and the group has a very healthy order book as we continue to work
very closely with many government agencies, UN missions and British Council
properties globally. The most recently completed project for British Council was
for their London Head Office in Trafalgar Square.'
