UK Banking Contract Gains
Pentagon Protection Plc ('Pentagon' or 'the Company'), the provider of
protective glazing products to the automotive, commercial buildings and
residential sectors, announces three significant contract wins amounting to a
total sales value of £610,000. Two of these contracts are with Barclays Bank and
HSBC Bank, and the third is with another international banking group that has
instructed Pentagon to protect their Canary Wharf offices, a £100,000 project
due for completion within the next six months.
The largest contract, a £360,000 project, is to provide 40 of Barclays' London
branches with Pentagon's glass containment film, combined with a specialist
'anchoring' system, all designed to prevent injury from broken or flying glass.
The contract for Barclays is expected to be completed within the next two months
and the HSBC project will continue for several more months. Both will impact
upon Pentagon Protection's interim results for the six months ended 31 March
2004.
Commenting, Graham Bannerman, Pentagon's Chief Executive said: 'The level of
interest we are receiving from financial institutions for our products is
increasing all the time. This has much to do with a number of significant and
complex projects that we are known to have completed successfully over the last
few years, both in the UK and overseas.'
