In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provisions, Assura
Group Limited ("Assura") would like to notify the market that, as of 18 December
2006, the total number of 10p ordinary shares with voting rights is 233,998,471.



The above figure (233,998,471) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations, by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in Assura, under the
FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
