Amlin PLC 11 June 2002 For immediate release 11 June 2002 AMLIN ACQUIRES RENEWAL RIGHTS TO UK COMMERCIAL INSURANCE BUSINESS FROM AIOI EUROPE Amlin plc ('Amlin') announces today that its managed Lloyd's syndicate, Syndicate 2001, has acquired the renewal rights to approximately £18 million of commercial insurance business currently written by the Provinces Division of Aioi Insurance Company of Europe Limited ('Aioi Europe'), comprising commercial property and casualty, motor fleet and motor trade insurance. The transfer excludes policies associated with Toyota. Brian Carpenter, a Director of Amlin and Divisional Underwriter of its Amlin Insurance Services division, said: 'This acquisition helps to broaden our distribution and, in line with our strategic plan, achieves a larger foothold in UK property insurance.
