                         APPLICATION FOR LISTING

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for 40,000 Ordinary Shares
of 25p each fully paid to be admitted to the Official List and to trading on the
London Stock Exchange. These shares were allotted on 26 January 2001 pursuant to
the exercise of options under the Amlin Unapproved Share Option Scheme 1997.

The shares rank pari passu in all respects with the existing issued ordinary
share capital of the Company.
